The Alberta Legislature
Come explore the Alberta Legislature, the province’s foremost historic site. Sitting at the gateway of downtown Edmonton, the Alberta Legislature overlooks the majestic river valley. With over 55 acres of manicured lawns, wondrous tree-lined walking paths and dozens of historical monuments, there is no shortage of activities or sights to be explored. Watch your MLA in action, take a free tour of the building or purchase unique art created by Alberta artisans, in the Gift Shop. Throughout the year there are special events such as winterfête (Family Day), Seniors’ Tour and Tea Week, Canada Day and Celebrate the Season, which are all free of charge. The Alberta Legislature is open 362 days a year. Memories are made here!
